Asked how appealing a 6% automatic-enrollment rate would be if they were enrolled in a workplace retirement plan, 63% of respondents said that rate would be "very" or "somewhat" appealing, according to last week's 2014 Aegon Retirement Readiness Survey.
According to the survey results, the 6% auto-enrollment rate was most appealing in Brazil (82% saying very/somewhat), China (80%), India (78%) and Canada (71%).
On average, participants indicated 6.5% was a reasonable amount of their personal annual pay to contribute to their plan if automatically enrolled.
