The trustees of Ford Motor Co.'s three U.K. pension funds hired Punter Southall to provide daily estimates of plan liabilities, confirmed a spokesman for Ford.
The Hourly Paid Contributory Pension Fund, Salaried Contributory Pension Fund and Senior Staff Pension Fund, Brentwood, England, have a combined £8 billion ($13.4 billion) of assets and about 75,000 participants.
Punter Southall will provide estimates of each pension fund's liabilities, which the consulting firm said will enable the trustees to implement their investment strategies more effectively.
“We are well placed to provide effective solutions of this kind to clients of the scale of Ford's pension schemes,” said Andrew MacRae, principal at Punter Southall, in a news release.
