Brian C. Donovan was named global product development leader at Mercer, said spokesman Charles Salmans.
It is a new position. Mr. Donovan will oversee and coordinate investment product solutions for the firm’s investment management and investment consulting businesses.
Mr. Donovan will report to Phil de Cristo, president and group executive and group executive-investments, and Sujata Mutalik, global chief financial officer-investments.
Mr. Donovan was previously vice president, investment product development within the asset management product governance group at Fidelity Investments. Fidelity spokesman Jeff Cathie wrote in an e-mail that his duties have been assumed by others within the asset management product governance group.
