Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement System, Oklahoma City, hired Hudepohl & Associates as executive search firm to look for a new executive director, said Donna Spurrier, business manager.
The $13.5 billion pension fund issued an RFP for an executive search firm in February.
Thomas Spencer, the executive director of the $8 billion Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System, Oklahoma City, was named the interim director of OTRS in March. He replaced James Wilbanks, who was terminated by the board in October. Mr. Spencer splits his time between both roles.
Ms. Spurrier said Hudepohl & Associates is in the process of placing advertisements for the executive director position; the pension fund hopes to make a hiring decision as soon as possible.
