Walt Czaicki was named senior vice president and chief investment officer of Curian Capital, according to spokeswoman Melissa Hernandez.
He replaced Steven B. Young, who left the company in January.
Mr. Czaicki is responsible for oversight of the portfolio manager selection and monitoring process, as well as asset allocation and capital market analysis for Curian’s $17.3 billion in assets under management or advisement. He reports to Michael Bell, president and CEO.
Mr. Czaicki was vice president of platform management for Curian’s asset management group, overseeing portfolio manager selection, model allocations and adviser communications. The firm expects to find a replacement for Mr. Czaicki’s former position soon.
