San Bernardino County (Calif.) is searching for a record keeper for its four defined contribution plans, said Bill Tugaw, president and CEO at SST Benefits Consulting, which is assisting with the search.
The five-year contract will begin on May 15, 2015, with the option to extend for an additional two years.
The incumbent ING U.S. Retirement Solutions can rebid.
The four DC plans — 401(a), 401(k), 457(b) and 3121 deferred compensation, as well as a retirement medical trust fund — have a combined $779 million in assets.
The RFP is available online on the county's website. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. PDT on June 27. Interviews and a hiring decision are tentatively scheduled for Aug. 6 and Nov. 19, respectively.
