Jason J. Tyler was named head of client solutions at Northern Trust Asset Management, spokesman John O’Connell said in an e-mail.
Mr. Tyler will replace Alan Robertson, who is retiring at the end of the month, Mr. O’Connell wrote.
Mr. Tyler will oversee institutional sales, client relationship management and advisory services, including Northern Trust’s outsourced CIO practice. He will report to Steve Potter, president of Northern Trust Asset Management.
Mr. Tyler has been a senior vice president and head of corporate strategy and market development, which includes “leadership of corporate strategic planning and merger and acquisition activity” since 2011, Mr. O’Connell wrote. His replacement will be named soon, Mr. O’Connell wrote.
Northern Trust had $915.4 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
