St. Louis Public School Retirement System hired OFI Global Asset Management to run about $22 million in active emerging markets equities, according to recently released board meeting minutes.
The $927 million pension fund's board approved the hiring, previously recommended by the investment committee in January, at its March 27 meeting.
Funding comes from the pension fund's termination of Batterymarch Financial Management, which ran a similar portfolio; a reason for the termination was not given.
Investment consultant NEPC assisted.
Andrew Clark, executive director, did not reply to requests for further information by press time.
