Siddharth Dahiya was named head of emerging market corporate debt at Aberdeen Asset Management, said James Thorneley, spokesman.
It is a newly created position, effective immediately. Mr. Dahiya leads the company's six-member emerging market corporate debt team and reports to Brett Diment, head of emerging market and sovereign debt.
Mr. Dahiya was formerly an investment manager with the team. His appointment follows the departure of Esther Chan, senior investment manager, who did not formally have the title of head of emerging market corporate debt. She left to take a similar position at another company.
Also, Paul Lukaszewski is joining the term emerging markets corporate debt team as investment manager; he joined as a result of the company's acquisition of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership in April. He was previously a portfolio manager in high yield with SWIP.
