Steven K. Kreider was named senior vice president and chief investment officer at Fort Washington Investment Advisors, according to company spokesman Jose Marques.
Effective May 30, he replaces Nicholas P. Sargen, who will become chief economist and senior investment adviser, a new position within the company.
Mr. Kreider will oversee the investment activity for all assets under management for Fort Washington and its divisions and subsidiaries, totaling $46.4 billion in assets as of Dec. 31. He will report to John F. Barrett, chairman, president and CEO of parent company Western & Southern Financial Group.
Mr. Kreider was a portfolio manager and head of insurance asset management at Western Asset Management Co. He was replaced by Dennis J. McNamara, a senior generalist portfolio manager at the firm, according to a memo provided by the firm.
