Earlier this week, New Zealand Superannuation Fund reported a 1.4% gain in the month of April and an 18.1% return for the one-year period.
Over the longer term, the fund's 9.55% average annual return since inception exceeds its passive reference portfolio by 97 basis points.
The fund notes its primary long-term performance expectation is to beat the New Zealand Treasury bill by 250 basis points; since inception it has done so by 481 basis points annually.
