Marx Bowens was named a portfolio manager at alternatives manager Mariner Investment Group.
Mr. Bowens joined the firm's Silvermine investment team, which invests in the largest sovereign debt, related interest rate derivative and foreign-exchange markets. In this new position, Mr. Bowens will focus on trading various rates strategies, said David L. Press, a Mariner spokesman, in an e-mail.
Mr. Bowens was a principal and head of treasury and agency trading at institutional broker-dealer CRT Capital Group. John Nielsen, a CRT spokesman, did not return a call by press time regarding Mr. Bowens' replacement.
