Andrew Economos joined Capital Group in Hong Kong at the beginning of May as senior vice president, strategic solutions, a spokeswoman said.
The position, overseeing distribution in Asia for institutional, high-net-worth and retail clients, is new.
Mr. Economos was managing director of asset management and head of sovereign and institutional strategy, Asia at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in Hong Kong. Daniel Chui, a Hong Kong-based spokesman for J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said a search is underway to fill that role.
