Stephen J. Negrotti was named president and CEO at Turner Investments, spokesman Tucker Hewes said.
It is a new position. Mr. Negrotti reports to the firm's board of directors and manages the day-to-day operations of the firm.
“Since we established the firm, we have been fortunate to have Steve's counsel on an informal basis, and he has helped guide our thinking on the best management practices in developing the company and in establishing Turner's culture,” Robert E. Turner, co-founder, chairman and chief investment officer, said in a news release. “We believe his decades of experience, industry knowledge, and leadership skills will be of immediate benefit to our clients and in shaping the firm's future.”
Mr. Turner has been the de facto CEO since he co-founded the firm in 1990 and will now concentrate on investments, Mr. Hewes said.
Mr. Negrotti was a partner at Ernst & Young. Spokeswoman Amy Call Well did not return phone calls seeking further information by press time.
