Sacramento County (Calif.) Employees' Retirement System hired Pantheon Ventures to run a $100 million secondary infrastructure fund-of-funds separate account, said Scott Chan, chief investment officer of the $7.6 billion pension fund.
The separate account will be deployed over the next three years, Mr. Chan said, and will include both secondary infrastructure and energy investments.
Investment consultant Strategic Investment Solutions assisted.
Separately, the pension fund committed $30 million to Thoma Bravo XI, a software- and technology-focused buyout fund, and $20 million to EnCap Flatrock Midstream Fund III, an oil and gas fund.
