CVC Capital Partners closed the $3.5 billion CVC Capital Partners Asia Pacific IV, its fourth Asia-Pacific private equity fund, reaching the fund's hard cap after 11 months of fundraising, said a company spokeswoman.
The fund will invest in businesses in China, Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea.
Investors in the fund include the $176.2 billion New York State Common Retirement Fund and $104.3 billion New York State Teachers' Retirement System, both in Albany; and $16.4 billion Louisiana Teachers' Retirement System, Baton Rouge.
