Pierre-Henri de Monts de Savasse is joining BlueBay Asset Management as a portfolio manager in the convertible bond team, said a spokeswoman.
The role is new; Mr. Savasse will start in July and report to Mike Reed, partner and senior portfolio manager of the convertible bond team, which manages more than $4 billion.
Mr. Savasse previously was head of convertibles at Aberdeen Asset Management. A spokesman for Aberdeen said the firm has appointed Thomas Perez as head of convertibles. Mr. Perez had worked with Mr. Savasse for about nine years, and was “the natural choice to succeed” him, according to a statement provided by the spokesman. The investment process will not change, and the firm is looking to recruit another member to the team, according to the statement.
