Juan Lamo de Espinosa was appointed head of European equities and Owain Griffiths was named portfolio manager, European relative value credit, at Highbridge Capital Management, according to a source familiar with the situation.
Both are new positions and both are in London.
Mr. Lamo de Espinosa was a managing director at York Capital Management in London. Spokesmen were not available to comment by press time.
Mr. Griffiths is currently at Tricadia Capital Management in London, according to the Financial Services Authority register. His position could not be determined. Spokesmen were not available to comment by press time.
Highbridge Capital has about $31 billion in assets under management. A spokesman for Highbridge declined to comment.
