Maine Public Employees Retirement System, Augusta, made two new commitments totaling up to $210 million, wrote Andrew Sawyer, chief investment officer, in an e-mail.
The $12.4 billion pension fund committed up to $150 million to Invesco U.S. Income Fund, a core real estate fund. It is the pension fund's first commitment to an Invesco fund.
The pension fund also committed up to $60 million to Carlyle Asia Partners IV, a private equity fund managed by Carlyle Group. The pension fund previously committed $15 million to Carlyle Asia Partners III in December 2009.
