Neil Williams will join Queensland Investment Corp. as managing director, multiasset and investment solutions, a spokeswoman for QIC said Tuesday.
The position is a new one for the Brisbane-based money management firm. QIC will look to tap Mr. Williams' experience to “further develop QIC's multiasset investment capabilities,” the spokeswoman said in an e-mail. Mr. Williams' official starting date at QIC couldn't immediately be learned.
Mr. Williams will relocate from New Zealand, where he has served as chief investment adviser and head of strategic tilting with the NZ$25.2 billion (US$21.8 billion) New Zealand Superannuation Fund, Auckland.
Mr. Williams will leave his post at New Zealand Superannuation at the end of May, said NZ Superannuation spokeswoman Catherine Etheredge.
Adrian Orr, CEO of NZ Superannuation, said in an e-mail, there are no plans to fill the position “directly at this point … (as) the strategic tilting team, investment strategy, and intellectual property are well embedded in our current operations.”
