Mark Carlile was named head of Australia strategic relationships at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, spokeswoman Carly Eales said.
The position is new. Mr. Carlile will help create and implement the firm's funds business strategy for the region, as well as help build relationships with the major financial institutions in the country. He will be based in Melbourne and report to David Halifax, head of Australia funds.
Mr. Carlile was national manager, key accounts research and platform, at Vanguard Investments. It was unknown at press time whether he was replaced. Representatives from Vanguard declined to comment.
