Robert Hostetter was named global head of product strategy at AllianceBernstein, spokesman Jonathan Freedman said.
The position is new.
Mr. Hostetter will work with the firm’s regional institutional and retail product teams to assess the demand for new services and help develop new strategies. He will also partner with client and investment groups to improve AllianceBernstein’s investment capabilities.
Mr. Hostetter will report to Robert Keith, executive managing director and head of the global client group.
Mr. Hostetter was manager of product management at William Blair Investment Management. Tony Zimmer, a spokesman for William Blair, did not know by press time whether Mr. Hostetter had been replaced.
