Ernst Osiander was appointed head of fixed income-global and U.K. at HSBC Global Asset Management in London, said a spokesman for the firm.
Mr. Osiander replaces Guy Dunham, who left the firm earlier this year.
Mr. Osiander will also join HSBC’s global fixed-income management group, which provides oversight of the firm’s global fixed-income organization and ensures investment consistency. He will provide input on global rates and Group of 10 country currencies. He reports to Xavier Baraton, global chief investment officer, fixed income.
No changes were made to the investment process following Mr. Dunham’s departure, the spokesman said in an e-mailed statement.
Mr. Osiander joined HSBC two years ago and has worked on the global bonds team. He was previously senior portfolio manager, global rates and FX.
