CalSTRS is searching for a consultant for its 403(b) and 457 voluntary savings plans with a combined $559 million in assets.
The consultant would deal with a variety of matters in the defined contribution realm, including marketplace issues and trends, program design, and contract design and review, said Ricardo Duran, spokesman for the $183.3 billion California State Teachers’ Retirement System, West Sacramento, in an e-mail.
Incumbent Meridian Wealth Management is invited to rebid.
The contract term is for three years with two optional one-year extensions at CalSTRS’ discretion.
The RFP is posted on the CalSTRS website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. PDT July 7. A timetable for the hiring decision has not been established.
