Thomas Cook Pension Plan, Peterborough, England, appointed Barnett Waddingham as investment consultant, according to a news release from the consultant.
The appointment by the £850 million ($1.4 billion) defined benefit pension fund followed a procurement process, according to the news release.
"We were impressed by the personalized service that Barnett Waddingham offered in their tender; the attention to detail and real effort to truly understand our needs was particularly impressive," said Andy Cooper, chair of trustees for Thomas Cook, in the release.
The fund's previous investment consultant could not be learned. Spokesmen for the pension fund did not respond to requests for comment by press time.
