Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, rehired Private Advisors as low-volatility hedge fund-of-funds manager, said Troy Brown, director of consulting at Bogdahn Group, the pension fund's consultant.

Private Advisors ran $140 million in the strategy for the fund as of Jan. 31. An RFP was issued in January and Mr. Brown told Pensions & Investments then that if Private Advisors were rehired, the $2.1 billion pension fund would keep about half the assets in the strategy, bringing the total to about $70 million. He added the board had “soured” on the strategy following the financial crisis.
Separately, the pension fund committed $25 million each to Landmark Real Estate Fund VII, an opportunistic fund managed by Landmark Partners and Portfolio Advisors Real Estate Fund V, a secondary fund.
