Keith Goodby was appointed senior investment consultant within Towers Watson's insurance investment advisory group, a spokesman said.
He will focus on expanding the firm's investment services, including asset allocation and investment strategy, to insurance companies.
Mr. Goodby, who is based in London, reports to Ravi Rastogi, head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the insurance investment advisory group.
Mr. Goodby was portfolio director for the Legal & General with Profits fund, according to a news release by Towers Watson. A spokesman for L&G was not available to comment by press time.
“Specialist context is critical for insurers, and (Mr. Goodby's) addition to our leadership team allows us to continue to develop and deliver market-leading services, particularly to our life insurance clients,” said Ed Francis, EMEA head of investment at Towers Watson, in the news release.
