Peter Harrison, global head of equities at Schroders, was promoted to head of investment, responsible for the overall investment activities at the money manager, said a spokeswoman for the firm.
It is a new position.
Nicky Richards will replace Mr. Harrison as global head of equities. She will start this month.
Ms. Richards was CEO and chief investment officer at MLC Investment Management in Australia. MLC spokesmen could not be reached by press time.
According to a statement provided by the Schroders spokeswoman, Ms. Richards started her career at Schroders. Information about her previous role was not available by press time.
Schroders also hired Henrik Nyblom and Roger Doig, who have joined the U.K. and European equity team as senior research analysts. Also, Robert Kendrick joined the fixed-income credit research team as a credit analyst, the spokeswoman said.
Mr. Nyblom covers pan-European telecommunications and media. He joined from Nomura. Details about his former role could not be learned by press time. A spokesman for Nomura did not respond to a request for comment by press time.
Mr. Doig covers pan-European insurance and diversified financials. He moved over from the Schroders credit research team where he covered pan-European financials.
Messrs. Nyblom and Doig's positions are not new but had been vacant for some time, the spokeswoman said.
Mr. Kendrick replaces Mr. Doig on the fixed-income credit research team. Mr. Kendrick was a senior credit analyst covering global banks and insurance companies at Legal and General Investment Management. Carole Avis, managing director with profits, said the position will not be replaced.
