Lee Menifee was named a managing director and head of Americas investment research at Prudential Real Estate Investors, said John Chartier, spokesman at parent company Prudential Financial.
The position is new. Mr. Menifee, who began his new role Monday, “will lead PREI's research efforts in the U.S. and Latin America and will join the U.S. and Latin American investment committees,” according to a news release. He will report to Peter Hayes, managing director and head of investment research.
Mr. Menifee was managing director of research at American Realty Advisors. Jay Butterfield, a managing director at American Realty Investors, could not be reached by press time.
PREI had $55.7 billion in gross assets under management and $41 billion in net assets as of Dec. 31.
