Central Bucks Regional Police Commission, Doylestown, Pa., will search for an investment consultant for the $6 million Doylestown Borough Police Pension Plan and $1 million New Britain Borough Police Pension Plan, wrote Caroline Brinker, Doylestown borough finance officer, in an e-mail.
The search is the result of the creation of the Central Bucks Regional Police Department, which merged the police forces of both boroughs. Ms. Brinker wrote that the pension funds have not yet merged but are expected to in the future. An RFP will be issued within four to six weeks.
Doylestown's current consultant is PFM Advisors; New Britain's consultant is Univest Municipal Pension Services. Both will be invited to bid.
The RFP will be posted on the commission's website.
