On Monday, the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund announced its pension assets had reached an all-time high of $52.3 billion as of May 2, up 0.3% from April 3.
Nearly 62% of its assets are invested in equities, followed by bonds (24.2%) and real estate (5.5%), with the remainder held in cash, risk control and alternative investments.
The fund also announced it is looking to hire an assistant secretary-general of investments to oversee the pension fund.
