Robin Claessens was appointed managing director on the investment consulting team at Redington, a spokesman said.
It is a new position, and Mr. Claessens will focus on investment strategy and risk management.
The spokesman said Mr. Claessens will join Redington on May 1 and will report to David Bennett, head of investment consulting.
Mr. Claessens is also an adviser at BBOXX, which produces solar-based electric systems, and was previously chief financial officer there. Prior to that, he was CEO of the Invensys Pension Scheme, Newcastle upon Tyne, England, which had £4.5 billion ($7.6 billion) of assets as of March 31, 2013, according to its most recent annual report.
“I'm sure our clients will benefit from his hands-on experience working with the trustees of the Invensys Pension Scheme, as well as advising corporations and their schemes on all aspects of pension strategy,” Mr. Bennett said in an e-mail.
