David Kiddie was appointed CEO of BNP Paribas Investment Partners' institutional business line, said a spokeswoman for the firm.
The role was previously held by Philippe Marchessaux, who had run the institutional business line in addition to his permanent role as CEO at BNP Paribas Investment Partners since a reorganization of the division was announced in October. The spokeswoman said the firm had been looking for a senior person to run the institutional business line since then.
Mr. Kiddie will report to Mr. Marchessaux when he joins the €479 billion ($663.9 billion) money manager on June 30.
Mr. Kiddie most recently was chief investment officer at AMP Capital Investors in Australia. Sean Henaghan, head of multimanager and investment solutions, was promoted to head of the multiasset group at AMP Capital Investors, and Mark Beardow, head of fixed income, became head of the specialist investment teams.
