Hai Xin was appointed managing director responsible for business development in Australasia at Millennium Global Investments, said a spokeswoman for the firm.
Mr. Xin's role at the $10.8 billion currency overlay and currency alpha money manager is new, she said.
Mr. Xin was in a similar role at Overlay Asset Management, according to a news release from Millennium. He was also a member of the firm's executive and research committees. Mr. Xin left in 2012, according to the news release. Spokesmen for Overlay Asset Management could not be reached for comment by press time.
“(Mr. Xin) will be instrumental in helping drive our marketing effort in Asia and Australasia where we believe there is significant potential for our products,” said Mark Astley, CEO at Millennium Global, in the release.
