Brent Humphries, former president of Barclays Private Credit Partners, and four members of his senior leadership team joined AllianceBernstein to form a new middle-market direct lending team.
Also joining AllianceBernstein from Barclays as managing directors are Patrick Fear and Jay Ramakrishnan and directors Shishir Agrawal and Wesley Raper.
Mr. Humphries is a managing director and group head of the new team, which will be known as the AllianceBernstein private credit investors group, effective this week, wrote Jonathan Freedman, spokesman, in an e-mail.
Barclays Capital, parent of Barclays Private Credit Partners, sold the group in December to an unnamed firm; spokesman Brandon Ashcroft said Barclays is not disclosing the name of the firm.
