Vivian Tang joined First State Investments in Hong Kong as director, institutional business, North Asia, and Lauren Prendiville joined the firm's Singapore office as director, institutional business, Southeast Asia, said spokeswoman Anneliese Diedrichs.
Both positions are new.
Ms. Tang and Ms. Prendiville will be responsible for developing relationships with asset owners and consultants in their respective regions, according to a news release. Both will report to Alexis Ng, the firm's managing director, Southeast Asia, and head of distribution, Asia.
Ms. Tang was director, distribution, with Credit Suisse Asset Management, according to the news release. A spokeswoman for Credit Suisse declined to comment.
Ms. Prendiville joins from Investment Marketing Solutions, a Singapore-based consultant where she and fellow founding partner Joanna Thompson focused on financial marketing strategies for fund managers.
Ms. Thompson couldn't be reached for comment.
