Alcatel-Lucent, Murray Hill, N.J., added an international equity index fund managed by BlackRock as an investment option in its 401(k) plan, according to employee materials posted on the company’s website.
The fund is benchmarked to the MSCI World ex-U.S. index. The commingled fund was added to the investment option lineup on April 1 and does not replace any current funds.
The employee materials also noted a change in the asset allocation of the 401(k) plan’s target-date fund lineup managed by AllianceBernstein. Eight of the 13 target-date funds have increased their exposures to equities, while all target-date funds have a new underlying domestic large-cap equity index fund. Specific information regarding the allocations could not be learned by press time.
Alcatel-Lucent Savings Plan had $6.4 billion in assets as of Dec. 31, 2012, according to the company’s most recent Form 5500 filing.
