Sally Bridgeland left as CEO of BP Pension Trustees, Ms. Bridgeland confirmed.
Ms. Bridgeland was CEO of the trustee company that oversees the running of the £19 billion ($31.9 billion) BP Pension Fund, London.
Ms. Bridgeland told Pensions & Investments that she is taking a break, and said she will take on “portfolio roles” in the future. Ms. Bridgeland become CEO in July 2007 after spending 20 years in various roles, including head of investment research, at consultant Hewitt Associates, which became Aon Hewitt in 2010 following a merger with Aon.
She is also a founder of Executive Shift, a U.K. charity that supports senior people who want to work with more flexibility.
Spokesmen for BP Pension Trustees were not available to comment by press time. Details of any replacement could not be learned.
