Rafael Moral was named managing director and global head of Deutsche Bank's new investor services division, comprising agency securities lending, custody, and clearing and fund services.
The new position will oversee what had been called the direct securities services unit within Deutsche Bank's global transaction banking business, said Ari Cohen, Deutsche Bank spokesman. The investor services unit will remain under global transaction banking, he added.
The investor services business will begin June 1.
Mr. Moral replaces Thibaud de Maintenant, managing director and head of direct securities services, who will become global transaction banking head of France.
Mr. Moral will be based in Frankfurt and report to Satvinder Singh, managing director and global head of trust and securities services and cash management, financial institutions.
Mr. Moral currently leads global transaction banking's strategy and business development unit. His replacement has not been named.
