Deloitte and Penbridge Advisors announced on Tuesday a strategic alliance to provide pension risk transfer services for corporate defined benefit pension plans.
The two firms will combine Penbridge's capabilities of helping plan executives evaluate annuity buyouts, and Deloitte's implementation support.
“We really view pension risk transfer as an area where we've done work in, and we really feel it's poised to take off at this point,” said Jason Flynn, principal at Deloitte Consulting, in a telephone interview.
Penbridge Advisors, which was founded in January 2013, operates a database covering the pension risk transfer marketplace.
