Kimberly Mustin was named head of North American distribution at BNY Mellon Investment Management, said spokesman Mike Dunn.
It is a new position. Ms. Mustin will start on April 21 and will report to PeterPaul Pardi, global head of distribution. Ms. Mustin will be based in New York.
Ms. Mustin was previously head of global strategic accounts at OppenheimerFunds. Following the promotion of John McDonough as head of distribution in January and Ms. Mustin's departure, the company restructured its distribution organization, said OppenheimerFunds spokeswoman Kaitlyn Downing. Ms. Mustin's previous responsibilities have been spread throughout the restructured team, Ms. Downing said.
Separately, BNY Mellon promoted Filippo Santilli to head of Asia-Pacific sales and relationship management with the firm's global collateral services business.
The Hong Kong-based position is new.
Mr. Santilli previously served as managing director of liquidity services for the Asia-Pacific region.
A spokesman for BNY Mellon said Mr. Santilli's previous role won't be filled, as the liquidity services he focused on remain part of the broader suite of global collateral solutions he now oversees.
BNY Mellon announced the formation of its global collateral solutions business, as an organizational restructuring of that suite of services, in June 2012.
