Myron Zhu joined FLAG Capital Management as a partner and co-leader of FLAG Squadron Asia, the private markets investment firm's Asia-Pacific operations.
The position is new, a spokeswoman said. Mr. Zhu will join fellow partner Wen Tan in leading FLAG Squadron Asia's more than 15 professionals and direct the firm's private investment activities in China, according to a news release.
Mr. Zhu was previously head of alternative investments-chief investment officer Asia, at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank. He left in mid-2012.
