Pomona Capital closed its eighth private equity fund that will invest on the secondary market, hitting its $1.75 billion hard cap, said Vivian Flynn, Pomona spokeswoman, in an e-mail.
Pomona Capital VIII officially closed on April 10. It took Pomona a little more than a year to raise the fund. The fundraising target was $1.3 billion and was oversubscribed. The fund will invest in limited partnership interests in private equity funds as well as in portfolios of private equity-backed companies.
Investors in the fund include the $2.1 billion Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City.
