Money managers can turn to the head coach of British Cycling and former professional racing cyclist, Shane Sutton, to strengthen their investment process, thanks to a new collaboration with investment process analyst Inalytics.
The process will combine coaching techniques from the world of sport with money manager decision-making analysis, which measures the skill behind every decision and then identifies behavioral biases that can hinder or harm performance.
Once Inalytics has completed an analysis of a firm, Mr. Sutton and his team — a set of coaches that Mr. Sutton has hand-picked, according to a spokesman for Inalytics — will work with Inalytics and the money manager to improve the investment process. Mr. Sutton will draw on coaching techniques and processes that helped deliver 26 Olympic medals and two Tour de France wins to a variety of cyclists, including Bradley Wiggins' Tour de France triumph in 2012.
“The aggregation of marginal gains based on evidence and challenging that evidence to improve performance and decision-making” are the secrets to success, Mr. Sutton said in a news release.
“The collaboration with (Mr. Sutton) provides fund managers the tools and support needed to fine-tune their performance,” said Rick Di Mascio, CEO of Inalytics, in the news release.
