Andy Seed will join J.P. Morgan Asset Management's defined contribution team as part of its continued expansion of its U.K. business, said a spokeswoman for the firm.
It is a new position, which two sources close to the situation said will be on the DC sales team in London.
The spokeswoman did not comment on Mr. Seed's new role.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management launched its dedicated U.K. DC business, UK SmartRetirement, in October, alongside a range of target-date funds.
Mr. Seed was previously a director on KPMG's DC pensions advisory team, a role he held since January 2012. A spokesman for KPMG confirmed his departure, and said his responsibilities will be taken on by Richard Birkin, director in the firm's pensions practice.
Mr. Seed did not respond to a request for comment.
