St. Louis Employees' Retirement System is searching for an emerging manager to run active domestic small-midcap core equities, said Richard Olliges, accounting officer.
The $750 million pension fund has yet to determine a portfolio size and will likely fund the new allocation from existing equity managers, Mr. Olliges said. It has not been determined if any managers will be terminated.
The pension fund is searching for managers with assets under management between $10 million and $2 billion; the account will be benchmarked to the Russell 2500 index.
Proposals are due at 4 p.m. CDT on May 9. A decision is expected sometime later in the summer.
The RFP is available on the city's website.
