Nevada State Treasurer's Office, Carson City, is searching for at least one investment consultant for its $13 billion Nevada College Savings Trust Fund and $178 million Nevada Higher Education Prepaid Tuition Trust Fund, said Mark Mathers, chief deputy treasurer.
The search is being conducted due to the Dec. 31, 2014, contract expirations of Callan Associates, consultant to the prepaid tuition program, and Pension Consulting Alliance, consultant to the state's college savings program, which consists of four 529 plans.
Both firms are invited to rebid, Mr. Mathers said. The treasurer's office could choose one overall consultant or keep separate consultants for each of the two programs, he added.
The RFP is available on the treasurer's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. PDT on May 14. A selection is expected in mid-July. The four-year contract is scheduled to begin on Jan. 2, 2015.
