Opportunistic real estate searches surge as interest in core funds declines

According to Preqin’s Q1 Real Estate Spotlight, 59% of investors searching for new funds in the year ahead plan to target opportunistic funds, up from 47% a year ago. Conversely, 35% of investors searching for new funds in the next 12 months plan to invest in core funds, down from 56% as of Q1 2013.
