Jimmy Burns, Denise Saber and Frank Glennon will join First State Investments’ institutional team in Europe as part of an expansion of the client and consultant relations team and the creation of a dedicated business development team for institutional clients, said a First State spokesman.
Mr. Burns will join the firm in May as a senior relationship manager, based in Edinburgh. He previously ran his own consulting firm based in the U.S., according to a news release. Prior to that, he was head of European equities at Stewart Ivory, a First State subsidiary.
Ms. Saber will join the firm April 15 in London as head of institutional business development for Europe, a new position. She will be responsible for building and cultivating relationships with European asset owners, reporting to Kanesh Lakhani, head of distribution for EMEA and global consultant relationships. It could not be learned by press time where Ms. Saber previously worked.
Mr. Glennon will join the firm May 5 in the new role of European business development manager based in London. Mr. Glennon comes from Falcon Money Management in London; spokesmen for Falcon were not available by press time to provide details on any replacement.
“Europe remains a key growth market for First State,” Mr. Lakhani said in the news release. “These hires build upon our continuing efforts to broaden and deepen our coverage of institutional asset owners and asset consultants in Europe.”
