Stephen Birmingham was named executive vice president, director of business development, at money manager Taylor Investment Counselors, Mr. Birmingham confirmed in an e-mail.
The position is new. Mr. Birmingham will be responsible for marketing the firm's strategies to clients and consultants. He will report to Ben Niedermeyer, chief investment officer and senior partner.
Mr. Birmingham was a vice president at The Coyle Co., marketing to high-net-worth clients.
Taylor Investment Counselors has $420 million in assets under management.
